About 70,000 guest tickets have already been issued to the 650 or so exhibitors at the GrindTec 2020, visitor registrations have just started, and the travel plans and preparations of the trade visitors are underway.

Due to the concept, exhibitors and visitors to the GrindTec can expect a relaxed participation in the trade fair. The Managing Directors of the GrindTec organiser AFAG, Henning and Thilo Könicke: "The guidelines are based on concepts that are already known, tested and lived. We will plan the trade fair in such a way that all those involved can feel comfortable. And if the infection situation allows it in autumn, even more relaxation is conceivable."

The resolution of the Bavarian State Government of June 23, 2020 on the operation of trade fairs and congresses states

"Trade fairs and congresses are an important part of Bavaria as a business location. A successful restart of the trade fair and congress business in autumn can make a valuable contribution to economic stabilization as a market platform and give the Bavarian economy a new boost. The Bavarian trade fairs are generally characterized by a good infrastructure, which guarantees the highest standards of hygiene and enables contact tracing and the monitoring of hygiene rules. Subject to a sustained favourable development in the incidence of infection, the state government therefore intends to make it possible to open up trade fair and congress operations in Bavaria by 1 September at the latest. When trade fair and congress operations resume, health and containment of the pandemic will continue to have priority. To this end, the Council of Ministers has drawn up a framework for protection and hygiene measures as a guideline for the individual protection and hygiene concepts of the organisers. This is intended to limit infection risks and ensure the traceability of possible infections".
